College culture is incubated and hatched in cafeteria. Cafeteria is arranged by the students of M.Sc. H.Sc. (Foods & Nutrition) Final year every session as a part of their curriculum. It helps them to understand various aspects of cafeteria management like mass cooking, table setting, costing, marketing and selling etc.
They plan cafeterias every week with different themes like Marriage Celebration, Rim-Jhim, Bollywood Dhamaka, Sparkle Nights and Welcome-2014. Students are assigned different responsibilities like head cooks, assistant cooks, waitresses, advertisers, dishwashers etc. Food is not the only thing that is offered in cafeteria, the atmosphere created to emphasize the themes also acts like a catalyst for the guests.Nutritional aspect of the diets is also taken care of. Taste and nutrition go hand-in-hand. Students get trained to become future entrepreneurs and catering managers by this practice.
