Department of Computer Science

The computer department was established in 1999 with 30 students and 5 computers. Today more than 500 students and 40 systems and 1 server are the part of the department. IT Labs are the heart of any professional institute. The College has state-of-the-art computer Lab. The lab is well-equipped with computing resources and caters to the academic needs of the College. The computer lab provides hands on experience to the users and always keeps pace with the technological advancement. The faculty and students in the college have access to the computer center and use internet facility available therein. The department of computer science offers the following programmes :

The NIELIT (Formerly DOEACC) Course in the department is accredited with government of india, department of electronics with ACCR- O3050 The Structure of 'O' Level Computer Course:

3. Courses under UGC Assistance for CPE (College with Potential for Excellence)
 

This course is designed to aim at imparting a basic level appreciation programme for the common man. After completing the course the incumbent is able to the use the computer for basic purposes of preparing his personnel/business letters, viewing information on internet (the web), sending mails, preparing his business presentations, playing games etc. This allows a common man or housewife to be also a part of computer users list. This would also aid the PC penetration program. This helps the small business communities, housewives to maintain their small account using the computers and enjoy in the world of Information Technology. This course is more practical oriented.
Eligibility: 10th or equivalent
Examination: Examination for the certificate course will be conducted by the NIELIT every month.

 
2. CCC Computer Course NIELIT (Formerly DOEACC) (3 Months)
 

1- Certificate Course in Computer Application. (6 Months).
2- Advanced Specialized Course in Computer Application.(6 Months) The aim of the department is to make youngsters alert and confident to face challenges in career and life. The department believes that students should be willing to contribute to the society so that they fulfill their responsibility towards their nation.

 
4. Certificate course in Computer Application (60 Hours)
 

This course is designed to aim at imparting a basic level appreciation programme for the common man. This course helps the small business communities, housewives to maintain their small account using the computers and enjoy in the world of Information Technology. This course is more practical oriented.

NIELIT (Formerly DOEACC) is a joint Scheme of Department of Information Technology (erst-while Department of Electronics) Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body for the development of technical education, including computer education, in the country. NIELIT(Formerly DOEACC ) 'O' Level Course consists of four theory modules (three compulsory modules and one elective module), one Practical and one Project.
